This is a really nifty bag! It’s perfect for a long weekend getaway. I was able to put a lot in it, although I wouldn’t suggest more than five outfits. I added one pant suit, full length dress, five jeans, one casual pant, eight shirts, eight pair of underwear, three pair of socks, and a pair of business flats. I’m a size 18, 8/8.5 shoe. The bag became very heavy, though. I evenly distributed the clothes to be sure it would fold/close. I only used two hangars. When I used more, I couldn’t fold the bag. The pictures show what I laid in the garment bag, the rest went in the duffle, and the shoes in the compartment. Overstuff-you can’t close or it puts too much stress on the zipper, which leaves the zipper teeth with gaps. The bag itself (materials), as well as the stitching are of high quality. The outside is waterproof. I tested this by letting water sit on it for a full five minutes, then I wiped the water up and there was no water absorbed.

I wish I knew about bags like this before I went on a cruise. I had to carry my evening dress and my husband's suit in long garment bags carried by the hangers. I had to hold it up over my head/shoulder to keep the bags off the floor, or remind my taller husband not to drag them or wrap them around his arm. We were not allowed irons nor garment steamers on the cruise. This bag is a game changer. When you open it up, it is just like a garment bag, but it allows you to smoothly roll up the garment (and shoes!) into one easy-to-carry duffle-style bag! You can attach the duffle to the handle of a rolling suitcase so that it easily sits on top of it, or carry it with the detachable shoulder strap. I posted 7 photos to show how it works. when you completely unzip it, it lays flat like a garment bag. The two things sticking out from the side are the shoe compartment and the other has an inside pocket you can use for accessories, etc. There are two pieces of velcro that allow you to open the garment bag further, making it longer (photo #4). I put an average midi-length dress inside for reference. There is a sturdy loop for attaching a hanger. Once you zip it up, fold up the bottom and zip up the sides, your garment is rolled up securely inside. You can place your shoes in the side compartment and they won't touch your garment or anything else inside the bag (photo #7). This compartment is large enough to fit even the largest shoes, or a few pairs of shoes. For reference I placed a pair of ankle boots inside. They are size 7.5, but there is a lot more room for even longer shoes. Everything is protected, and easy to carry! I can see it working very well if you have to travel to a wedding, or for work. It would even make a great gift for bridesmaids to help them bring along their wedding attire. It's even handier than the average tote-bag-gift for bridesmaids. And if your clothes do wrinkle a little ( I don't see them wrinkling much at all) you can put an iron or garment steamer in the bag, and it won't touch anything else that is wrapped up in the bag. Everything is separated yet together in a classic duffle. Woohoo!

Great size, appeal, and function

This is a great replacement for light travel instead of a heavy suitcase. The room inside is spacious enough to be almost be deceiving on the outside, it can also unzip fully to allow you to pack or unpack every square inch of it. I’m a little indifferent on the ability to zip it all the way down, but it’s pretty functional. As for appearances the bag has a nice leather outline which gives it a aesthetically pleasing display no-matter how it’s positioned. It remains a handy travel accessory for moving “soft” items (I wouldn’t carry a laptop or other expensive electronic in it), but it also seems durable enough to withstand most forms of travel; although, I wouldn’t take it on a plane unless it’s carry-on. 5/5

Perfect for a conference trip

I love the concept of these travel bags. It keeps you clothes organized and less wrinkly. The only downside is you have to waste room with the hangers. This bag looks pretty close to the pictures. It is a pretty cream color with a beautiful brown leather straps. It is a good size not too big. It holds a lot and I like the extra bag that comes with it. It is a little difficult to zip up, some reason the zippers are a little stiff to pull up. It doesn’t feel cheap though. This bag works perfect for a short conference trip or other short trips. It even has a shoe spot and little pockets.

The wedding is Saturday and the flight is Friday. The dress is too long for your carry-on, so you roll it up and hope, or you pay to check a bag and wait at the carousel. Either way you unzip at the hotel and find the creases. It was never your packing. A suitcase folds a dress three or four times and presses everything else on top of it. This bag opens completely flat, your outfit stays on its own hanger with the hook slipped through the top, and the bag closes around it with one soft fold. No wrinkly dresses or suits for you.

A carry-on comes with my ticket. So why am I still paying for a bag?

Because of the dress. Bags used to fly free. In 2008 the airlines added a fee for the first checked bag, blamed it on fuel prices, and the fee never left. It has only gone up since. A carry-on is still included on most standard fares, and the one thing that pushes you to check a bag for a wedding is an outfit that won't survive a suitcase. Give the dress a place to hang in your carry-on and there is nothing left to pay for.

"Not sure it's carry-on approved." Will it fit in the overhead bin?

It measures 20 x 12.5 x 9 in (51 x 32 x 23 cm). The standard carry-on limit on Delta, American, United, Alaska and JetBlue is 22 x 14 x 9 in, so it sits under it with room to spare, and its soft sides ease into a full bin. Check what your fare includes: a few basic fares only allow a bag under the seat.

Can it pass as a free personal item?

No, and we would rather tell you now than at the gate. At 20 in long it is bigger than the under-seat size airlines allow. It is made to replace your checked bag on airlines where a carry-on is included, not to slip under the seat on a budget fare.

Will my dress really come out without wrinkles?

It comes out far better than from a suitcase, because it lies flat on its hanger and is folded once in a soft curve, not three or four times under your shoes. One to three dressy pieces travel best. Very delicate fabrics like satin can still need a few minutes on a hanger in a steamy bathroom. If your outfit isn't ready to wear the way you hoped, you have 30 days to send the bag back.

"I didn't want to roll up my husband's suit." Does a suit fit too?

Yes. A suit travels on its own hanger the same way a dress does, and the two can go in together. Many couples pack the dress and the suit side by side for a wedding weekend, with the shoes in their own compartment.

Does it come with a hanger?

No. The bag has an opening at the top for the hook of your own hanger, so your dress or suit stays on the hanger it already lives on. You lift it out of your closet, into the bag, and out again at the hotel.

How much can I really pack in it?

Think wedding weekend or a two to four day work trip: your outfit on its hanger, a few more outfits in the middle, your shoes and your toiletries. That is everything in 1 bag, with no separate garment case to keep track of.

Isn't it heavy to carry once it's full?

A full bag has weight, like any carry-on. You have three ways to carry it: the two handles, the shoulder strap, and the strap on the back that slides over the handle of a rolling suitcase when you travel with one.

What if my flight is full and they check it at the gate?

It can happen with any carry-on on a full flight, usually to the last people to board. Board when your group is called and the bin space is yours. If it is ever gate-checked, your outfit is still on its hanger inside its own zipped section.

The quality on the outside doesn't look great, but the inside is very good, I like it a lot. It comes with a strap for hanging and a kind of transparent plastic toiletry bag. The only thing I see as "bad" to complain about is that the zippers on the sides don't have a stopper, a latch, or a carabiner to secure them. I think if you carry a lot in the bag, the zippers on the sides might open on their own, but it's totally solvable.

Light weight overnight bag

Used this on a family vacation. The bag held 2 compression packing cubes with 5 days of my kids clothes, 2 pairs of shoes, the families Toiletries, 2 books, a small piuch of pooltoys/goggles, a hair brush plus a bit of extra room. So there was plenty of room. The fabric isn't thick like a leather, but held up find for being a carry-on bag. The side flap fit very well on the roller bag. I was a bit concerned about where the zippers all met up, but they held together just fine. I would leave small loose items in the bag though. I did not use the garmet bag functionality yet. There is no top loop to hang it by, so it relies on hangers. There isn't a ton of space at the top for hangers when it is assembled as a bag.

Good sized travel duffel. The zippers glide smoothly. The only part that I'm not sure about is that the zippers on the ends zip together but leaves a small gap where the 2 zippers come together. I haven't had a chance to use this bag so am not sure if they will come unzipped. The material is kind of shiny so would probably be easy to spot clean. I was a bit worried with choosing white, but now I don't think it will be an issue. There is a place for your shoes, so they are separated from your other items. There is also a pocket on the inside and one on the outside. The duffel comes with a nice shoulder strap so you can be hands free while traveling. This is a very spacious duffel, and I think I could get by with having this as my only piece of luggage. I look forward to using this bag on my next trip.

Perfect Bag

This bag is great for using as a carry on or even checking in during flights. We again used it for road trips as it was convenient to carry large amount of clothes.

good concept, mostly good construction

The concept is great - a garment bag that converts to a duffel bag for easy traveling. I love that you can take a suit or a suit coat with you as well as all of your gym gear and your casual clothes all in one bag. It does convert easily. The sides unzip and you can fold the whole thing out flat put your suit coat in the hanger loop, zip it up and then start reassembling the bag into a duffel. The one end has a rather large waterproof shoe pocket, which is really nice. There are several smaller pockets for stowing smaller items. There is a luggage strap on the outside so that you could easily carry it through the airport with you on top of a suitcase… The strap goes through the handle of your suitcase. There is also a removable shoulder strap that adjusts. There are also two carrying handles. The quality of the outside fabric is really nice. The cream nylon fabric is easy to clean and easy to wipe off and looks great. The contrast faux leather trim looks really good. The black zippers look great. The quality of the interior fabric is a little on the cheap side. It’s kind of crunchy and doesn’t feel like it’s going to be very durable for very long. If you don’t travel very much and you use this bag every now and then it will probably be fine. The zippers are my issue with this bag. They are very loose on the side panels and the zippers come completely down by tugging on the panel. They have tried to solve that by putting a lobster claw on the end of one zipper that you can hook through the other zipper to keep those side panels in place but again the zippers are just not the best quality. My other issue is the main zipper that closes it as a duffel bag is also a little bit cumbersome… I think it’s maybe just not the best quality. If you don’t carefully and very firmly press the one end of the zipper into the bracket and down into the zipper, the entire thing will come apart. It’s just like putting on a coat where you first start the zipper by putting it into the little bracket, but for some reason, this one just feels a little bit more difficult and cumbersome to do. so for the overall concept and construction it’s fairly good. I think a little bit could have been improved on the overall quality of some of the materials they chose. But it looks great. It’s a decent value… Now, knowing what I know about some of the loose zippers and the cheap interior fabric, I would maybe expect to pay a little bit less. But it is a large substantial duffel bag. It looks good. It’s very versatile. It’s very easy to use. I love the concept. The performance is decent but not top notch

A Cool Idea For Carryon

This bag is a neat idea. I like that I can put my dresses in like a garment bag and still have room to use it as a duffel. I am a very short and small person so I think I can get a lot in this bag though it's not super well made so I will be careful not to overstuff it. I was hoping the bag material would be like a canvas feel but it is more like a waterproof feeling vinyl material which always screams cheap to me. The zippers are difficult to close up the sides even when it is empty. So while it isn't perfectly made, I think I can get some use out of it but you do get what you pay for. When this one inevitably lets me down, I will likely replace it with one that is of better quality and pay the difference.

Wife loves it. Somewhat cheap material and seams but it looks "good from far". Time will tell how well it will hold up to wear and travel but it's spacious and has a decent pad on the strap so no complaints so far.

I love this bag! I recently scooted away for the weekend, and this was the perfect bag. It fit my hanging clothes, and I was able to put the rest of my stuff inside easily. I love the natural color of the bag, and I treated mine with water repellent spray before I used it to help protect the fabric.

I used this on a recent trip and love it. I was able to pack everything I needed, including a couple hanging items without issue. Upon arriving at the hotel after a long flight, I had no wrinkles to my hung items which really impressed me. For the trip, I packed enough items for a six day trip though I was only gone for four days, as I like to have a couple extra options. Also, I packed an evening clutch, a pair of 3" heels, running shoes, 2 pairs of flip flop type leather sandals and a pair of flats. The bag held all of this plus my toiletry bag, flat iron, and curling iron, along with an ipad and charging cords. There were no issues carrying through the airport or storing as a carry-on when getting on the plane. This bag is made with great quality giving it very impressive durability, structure with give, and stability. The handles and crossbody strap are properly secured with no fear of them breaking, and found it to be very comfortable to carry through my travels. The seller gave a spot on description, pictures, and measurements. Also, the design is extremely functional while still having a chic look to it that it doesn't matter what gender you are, it is definitely unisex. I had so many compliments on the carry-on bag by both men and women of various ages, which surprised me because it's a carry-on bag and never had people notice my carry-on before. Definitely recommend and worth getting.

I wouldn't really call it a duffel bag, but...

It's shaped like one, right? But it folds out, as if to hold suits and garments supposed to be hung up. It does have plenty of pouches and seems really well made. The only thing is that I really thought it would be a duffel bag, and it's more of a folded garment bag.
